Hi, I’m Narie.
I am an explorer of humanity, and love to exist at intersections of personal development, entrepreneurship, hospitality, entertainment, and/or human connection. Though I have a reputable background, these days I also spend a lot of time wearing silly costumes on stage.
On the reputable background front: I studied Systems Engineering at Cornell University, then started my career as a management consultant at Bain & Company. After that, I co-founded M.M.LaFleur, a direct-to-consumer fashion brand for professional women, where I spent five years as Chief Operating Officer, helping to grow the company to $75 million in revenue and over 200 employees. My fascination with the people side of the business led me to intensive coaching training in London with iDiscover 360, where I studied human development and practical emotional intelligence. I then merged my worlds to serve as the in-house executive coach at venture capital firm JAZZ Venture Partners, while also instructing and advising on entrepreneurship at top universities and accelerators.
While helping hundreds of people pursue their dreams and design aligned lives, I started to feel like a hypocrite for not quite doing the same myself. I began exploring things like food and hospitality, storytelling and comedy, and filmmaking. I worked in a restaurant, volunteered on a regenerative farm, designed matchmaking events, and took clown class.
These days, along with my advising work, I am focused on a one-woman show that I wrote and performed at the Adelaide and Edinburgh Fringe festivals, coming next to New York (1 in a Chameleon). I am also in the early stages of developing a feature film, a romantic dramedy based in New York City.
I grew up in a family of introverted, seafood-loving scientists, traveling between Syracuse, NY and Bangkok, Thailand. I now live in Brooklyn, NY, though I have yet to learn how to stay still.

All that is how I’m currently telling the story, anyway.
